The first step to assessing whether dermal fillers are right for you is to contact our trained and certified providers at The Kaga Academy for a personalized consultation. During this consultation, we will assess your face, discuss areas for enhancement, and discuss your desired goals. We will also develop a patient profile with your medical history, allergies, and previous treatments to mitigate the possibility of risks. 

You will be able to receive your dermal fillers immediately after your consultation; however, if you’d like to reschedule for a different day, our Patient Coordinator can help you schedule your appointment.

Please be advised to avoid NSAIDs or blood thinners like ibuprofen or aspirin prior to treatment to prevent bruising.

What to expect on the day of a Dermal Filler treatment

On the day of your dermal filler appointment at The Kaga Academy in Red Bank, NJ, you will be treated with as much care as possible to ensure a smooth procedure. Your skin will be cleaned and marked with strategic injection sites. You may request local anesthesia or numbing ointments for a more comfortable experience.

Your provider will inject your chosen filler into the injection site and gently massage the product to evenly disperse it. The filler will be added in incremental amounts until both you and your provider decide you have reached the desired result.

After the injections, your skin will be cleansed again. You may be provided with an ice pack to reduce swelling or discomfort.

Dermal Fillers recovery

The recovery process for dermal fillers varies depending on the individual health of the patient and the type of filler used. Typically, most people can resume their daily activities shortly after the procedure. Please avoid intense physical activity for 24 to 48 hours for best results to reduce bruising and swelling. 

Your skin may feel sore and achy, but this will subside within 7-10 days post-procedure.
